What does one do while waiting to vote?

knit up a cute hat of course. My polling site only had three machines and the lines were 2 1/2 hours long. I cast on the hat when I got in line and finished right before I voted. Everyone around me was cracking up that I knitted an entire piece of clothing in line that day!
